I will be a vocal critic of the top-down approach to the re-organisation of the NHS. I will oppose the continued expansion of the market.

I am seriously concerned about the dismantling of support for medical education and lack of coherent plans for medical research and public health.

The changes to medical pensions cause serious anxieties and I will stand up for the profession in the strongest terms.

Revalidation is imminent and I will support a system that is proportionate and properly resourced.
